Both of these are possible! A Commissioned piece is special in the sense that it's a collaboration of client and artist. The client likes the artist style but has a particular need, a selection of colors, or subject matter desired. In this case the artist works with the client to put it on canvas. This process may take additional time in order to capture the clients vision, but the final painting results in a true one-of-a-kind master piece.

I was participating in the Franklin Art Crawl in a cute dress shop and this wonderful lady fell in love with a Sunflower painting but she needed it in a different size. So, at her request I painted this one for her in the size she needed. I think it turned out even better than the original one!
This is the second painting I've done for this client. We started in a completely different direction but then she discovered a painting she liked on my website. So we decided to take it that direction but in a much larger size. It works perfectly in her space.
